Our beehive adoption program is a kind and innovative way to help the environment and support sustainable beekeeping.

By adopting a hive, you support the environment by helping maintain healthy populations of pollinating insects in a setting where they are typically lacking—urban areas. Flowering plants and pollinators have co-evolved over millions of years in a mutual, symbiotic relationship: plants provide nectar and pollen, and insects ensure their reproduction through pollination. Studies show that beyond reproduction, pollination contributes to the overall health and well-being of plants by helping them complete their life cycles.

You also support a sustainable beekeeping model. Traditionally, beekeepers have relied on honey and other hive products to make a living. However, times have changed, our environment is in crisis and honey is no longer as abundant as it once was. This can lead to increased pressure on both the beekeeper and the bees to produce honey. We deeply care about the welfare of our bees. We practice organic beekeeping, which means our bees are only fed their own honey and are kept healthy and happy. If we have a good season and our bees collect enough honey, we harvest a portion to share with the public—always ensuring our bees have more than enough for themselves.

Though it may sound simple, beekeeping comes with significant costs.

By adopting a beehive, you help cover its annual maintenance expenses and support our mission to sustain healthy bee populations in the city!

The annual cost of our program is 150€.

As a way to give something back to you for your kind support, we offer:

 1. The opportunity to visit the hive you’ve adopted. You can come alone or bring friends to meet your bees if you're based in Attica.

 2. The option to host the hive at your own space, if it’s suitable.

 3. You can name your hive!

 4. A thank-you letter confirming your sponsorship and a shoutout on our social media.

 5. 3 kilograms of honey from your hive’s upcoming harvest.

 6. A donation receipt for your contribution.
